It's time for an update that's long past due. Not only did Tim manage to pull moving in together out of his ass in four weeks, he managed to do it in three.

The apartment we found is close to both my parents house and his mom's house. It's a beautiful one bedroom condo with in-suite laundry, dishwasher and walk in closets.

Since moving out, we've celebrated, my birthday and Tim's birthday in our place and we've also welcomed "Abby" our little black cat who we adopted from the SPCA into our lives. This place, and my life now is everything that my life before couldn't be.

I've left Zellers since I last wrote here and worked at a series of less than appealing retail jobs. Since my last job laid me off I've been able to apply for UI so that I have some money coming in until I find a new job. It has also given me the opportunity to work more on my writing and focus more on the things I love instead of wasting my soul in a "go-nowhere" retail position.

A few months ago, for her birthday, Tim's mom got engaged to her long time boyfriend and they will be getting marrried in the Mayan Riviera on January 4. Her fiance is paying for 10 or so of us to go to a five star all inclusive resort and since I've never been to anywhere tropical I'm REALLY excited. I haven't been to a wedding that I've been a part of since I was really small so I'm excited to be there and witness that to.

In other news, since we moved into this apartment we've had a HUGE list of problems with our landlord. He's been in the newspaper for issues he's had with another set of buildings, and from everything we've heard from people he's a very very bad man. These problems lead us to re-evaluate our situation when it comes to renting, and we've decided that when our finances settle down in the new year we're going to be buying our own condo or small house.

We've already been preapproved for our own mortgage but have been promised more when Tim finishes school in December.

Speaking of school, I've been accepted as of yesterday into a program for January. I'm excited to finally be taking writing courses, to finally be following a dream instead of slogging on through something for the benefit of somebody other than myself.

Life is still moving along really smoothly but to be fair, if it didn't I think I'd be about fed up by now. I feel like even though I am grateful and lucky to be where I am, I also feel a little bit like I deserve it after all I've been through. Anyways, I'm going out with my friend in a little bit so I should go and get dressed.
